What is Nutritional Therapy?
Nutritional therapy uses the latest nutritional science to promote health and wellbeing for you as an individual. It involves looking at the body as a whole, with all of the complex systems that make it up, such as the digestive, immune, endocrine and nervous systems, rather than just individual symptoms.
An imbalance in one system may manifest in different ways for different people as we are all biochemically individual and our environments and lifestyles are unique. So, with nutritional therapy, recommended nutrition and lifestyle programmes are personalised, rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.
Working together, we’ll use a wide range of tools to assess and identify potential system imbalances which may be contributing to your symptoms and health concerns. Diet is obviously a huge part in this, but I’ll also take an in-depth look at your health history, environment, mind-set, genetics and all of the signs and symptoms you may be experiencing, even if they appear unrelated.
My aim is to identify the potential root causes of your health issues, so that I can develop a bespoke nutrition and lifestyle programme that’s tailored to address these and bring your body back into balance.
Nutritional therapy doesn’t replace medical advice – it complements it. It’s relevant for individuals with chronic conditions, as well as those looking to enhance their health and wellbeing.
